Testimonials matter

Clinical Research Matters was created by in/ex Marketing, a division of the Alliance for Multispecialty Research.  The Alliance for Multispecialty Research (AMR) was founded in 1994 to serve as a hub for shared marketing, business development, and best practices for elite clinical research centers. AMR conducts medical clinical research studies - Phase I, II and III - and answers to strict safety guidelines as provided by the FDA as well as the ethical and legal codes that govern medical practices.

ALLY'S STORY MATTERS

My brave daughter was diagnosed with glioblastoma in December 2016.  We had two surgeries to remove the tumor followed by extensive radiation treatments and chemotherapy.  She continued her tae kwon do classes, went to school as she was able, and mostly lived the life of a normal kid.

In January 2019, the tumor came back.

Again, we operated and removed the tumor, followed by a smaller dosage of radiation.  Sadly, the tumor came back a third time this summer.  Since July 11, Ally's been fighting our third round of this.  Ally, not being one to give up, wanted to fight.  We contacted KU, and we changed doctors.  We are now on a new treatment plan that would not be possible without clinical research.  We are hopeful that this treatment will give us more time.

Through all of this, Ally has handled everything with grace and strength.  My fifteen year old hero of a daughter who was just recently given two weeks to live has outlived her expectancy and it has now been four months.  None of this would be possible without our amazing tribe, excellent physicians and so many cancer patients who volunteered for clinical trials.

Every extra moment with Ally is cherished.
