Volunteers matter most

Volunteers in a clinical trial participate in the development of medical therapies that may offer better treatments and even cures for life-threatening and chronic diseases.  There are both benefits and risks in participating in a clinical trial.  Speak with your physician or the clinical research center's physicians to see if a trial is appropriate for you.

  • Clinical research provides another healthcare alternative to patients (volunteers).

  • Play an active role in your health care.

  • Gain access to research treatments before they are widely available.

  • Receive medical care from experienced physicians during the trial.

  • Health insurance is not required.

  • Help others by contributing to medical research.

  • Volunteers may be compensated for their time and travel.
